Dahday’s Picks For Labor Day Weekend 2015 Live Events
September 3, 2015
You may not go to the beach or cook on the grill the entire weekend, right? So if you are looking for a fantastic live event to enjoy, here are some ideas.
New York City | New Jersey | Philadelphia

A Brooklyn institution, all island nations represented in the borough celebrate Caribbean culture, music and love throughout the weekend. The week’s festivities includes a Brass Fest and steel drum bands to the signature Sunday night concert featuring Mighty Sparrow and David Rudder on Sunday night. Here is a taste of what is to come in Brooklyn:

Guatemala’s latin pop superstar makes his yearly stop in the New York/New Jersey region at The Garden Saturday and in Newark Sunday.

You forget before he was “Coming To America,” had a dog pound and two nationally televised late night talk shows, Arsenio Hall was a working stand-up comedian. Arsenio goes back to his roots in Atlantic City this weekend. With this funnyman in town, you have to wonder, too, if a famous face makes a surprise appearance at his show.
Saturday and Sunday, September 5-6 at 12 noon: Budweiser Made In America Festival at Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia, PA | Buy Tickets
Philly’s biggest concert of the year. Beyoncé leads the show Saturday night. The Weeknd headlines on Sunday night. As usual, this weekend’s show has an interesting, eclectic slate of local, national and international artists. And, of course, there will be thousands upon thousands of people on The Parkway. A must see.
Also, the New York Yankees play in the Bronx vs. the Tampa Rays Friday through Sunday and then on Labor Day vs. the Baltimore Orioles at 1:05pm.
