John Leguizamo’s New Show “Latin History For Morons” To Play At Public Theater In NYC
April 30, 2016
John Leguizamo will star in a new one-man show headed off-Broadway for the 2016-17 season.
The creator of critically acclaimed one-man shows like Mambo Mouth, Spic-O-Rama and more recently Ghetto Klown now has written a show that takes a comedic look at the Latino community’s contribution to American history. This off-Broadway show, called “Latin History For Morons,” will make a stop at Public Theater, which first housed Manuel Lin-Miranda’s “Hamilton” and the current Broadway show “Eclipsed.” Specific dates are not set yet.
The show soon launches its first batch of shows in California this April.

Lucky fans attending his March 21 show at Stress Factory in New Brunswick, N.J. got a taste of the show as Leguizamo tests the material. The show’s first working title was “Latin History For Dummies.”
Leguizamo’s last one-man show, Ghetto Klown, toured the U.S. and was broadcast on HBO.
