India Arie, Kendrick Lamar, Cypress Hill, Chance the Rapper. In one week?! Sheesh, sign me up. Not only is this week one in which you have an excuse to look crazy and wear weird clothes, but you also have a number of amazing hip-hop and R&B NYC event opportunities.

Chance the Rapper @S.O.B.’s, 9:00 PM Wednesday October 30th
Hailing from the windy city of Chicago, Illinois, Chance the Rapper, born Chancelor Bennett, is one of the promising new voices of the “new school” mc’s and lyricists. Fans and Hip-hop aficionados will be able to hear Chance in the West Village at the famous S.O.B venue at 9pm, Wednesday Oct 30th.
Cypress Hill @ Best Buy Theater, 8 PM Wednesday October 30th
Cypress Hill is one of those Cali based hip-hop groups which never really fits into a box. Formed in 1988 by B- DJ Muggs (Lawrence Muggerud ), Real (Louis Freese) and Sen Dog (Senen Reyes), the group, which now includes Eric Bobo, has remained consistent in its 17-year history, selling more than 17 million albums worldwide, with more than 11 million sold domestically.
This 15 time multi-platinum ensemble will be performing at 8 PM Wednesday Oct. 30th.
India Arie @ Beacon Theatre, 8 PM Saturday November 2nd
India Arie is not only, hands-down, one of the most beautiful celebrities in the last 2 decades, she has also seen a level of consistent success which many aspiring musicians can only dream of. Arie has sold over 10 million records, with 3 million sold domestically.
This Saturday November 2nd, Arie will be performing her great hits and new singles from her 5th and most recent album written with Shannon Sanders.
105.1 Powerhouse 2013 @ Barclay’s Center, 7:30 pm Saturday November 2nd
Brooklyn will be turned up on so many levels this weekend, as Power 105.1 Powerhouse 2013 will be rocking the Barclay Center. This year’s performers include live performances: Kendrick Lamar, Meek Mill, 2 Chainz, Big Sean, Trey Songz, Fabolous, K. Michelle and Schoolboy Q.
