Keith Thurman vs. Shawn Porter Fight Now In Brooklyn This June

The WBA welterweight championship fight between Keith Thurman and Shawn Porter is now back on and will take place at Barclays Center in Brooklyn this June.
This fight, which was originally was going to be a CBS primetime TV matchup at Mohegan Sun Arena this past March, was postponed due to injuries sustained by Keith Thurman in a car accident. As Thurman recovered, Porter sparred live on that date to keep his training going as scheduled.
Now, Barclays Center will play host to this matchup on June 25 and will be shown live on Showtime. Tickets go on sale this week for this re-scheduled card between Thurman, the hard-hitting WBA welterweight champion who won the first ever Premier Boxing Champions bout on NBC, and Porter, who has beaten good fighters like Devon Alexander and Adrien Broner the last few years. The June 25 card also will include a featherweight bout between mexicano Abner Mares (29-2-1, 15 KOs) and the Argentine Jesus Cueller (28-1-0, 21 KOs).
