Lin-Manuel Miranda Will End His Role In Hamilton In July
June 3, 2016
All good things must end.
Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, whose hit Broadway show has produced record-breaking ticket sales and 16 Tony nominations, will leave the show when his contract expires July 9.
The wildly successful show certainly is leading to other projects, namely an In The Heights movie and this news of a new Broadway show Miranda tweeted about on May 31:
I was waiting until it was official. It’s official! ???? https://t.co/KN0ELldIQd

The hit Broadway show also will continue without him. His understudy, Javier Muñoz, may take the lead role as Alexander Hamilton full time. There are other names being speculated about as well.
The already sky-high prices for this show will undoubtedly go up before Lin-Manuel Miranda makes his exit. The least expensive tickets are as high as $750-$900 per seat.
