Tito Nieves Will Take a Brief Leave From I Like It Like That – A Musical After This Weekend
October 18, 2016
Salsa legend Tito Nieves is taking a brief break from I Like It Like That – A Musical after this week’s performances.
Nieves will serve in the lead role as Roberto, the East Harlem record shop owner, tonight through Sunday, October 23 at Puerto Rican Traveling Theater but then take a brief break from the show. In his stead, veteran salsa lead man Jorge Maldonado will play Roberto. Nieves will return to the show on Tuesday, November 1 for the final week of shows.
The salsa-infused musical tells the story of a Puerto Rican family’s tale of love and struggle. Also starring Chachi Del Valle, Caridad De La Luz and former Son By 4 lead singer Angel Lopez, I Like It Like That weaves classic salsa hits from artists like Hector Lavoe, Ismael Miranda, La Lupe, Ruben Blades and Frankie Ruiz into the story.
David Maldonado, veteran salsa promoter and manager also known for his work on ¿Quién mató a Hector Lavoe? and the movie El Cantante, produced this musical.
Dahday has a special offer for sold out show on Friday, November 4. Click here to buy online or call 1-877-959-4699 to pay over the phone.
