Jeurys Familia: Bachata Super Producer?

New York Mets super closer Jeurys Familia might also be adding super producer to his resume.

A big fan of bachata, the 26-year-old dominicano has teamed up with Zacarías Ferreíra on producing his game intro music for the upcoming season. Familia broke this story — just as he reports for spring training in Port St. Lucie, Florida — with The Players Tribune, the online publication owned by New York Yankees legend Derek Jeter. Familia was a big reason why the upstart Mets won the National League pennant last season, posting a 0.61 ERA in over 14 innings pitched during the 2015 post-season.

Ferreíra will be in our area as Familia toils in Florida. The bachatero performs in the Bronx and in Philly next month.
